Assistant Financial Accountant

What you will do:

Working as part of a small team you will be responsible for the following:

  • Producing accurate and timely financial reports
  • Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Intercompany invoicing
  • Process improvements & Project work
  • Overseeing Accounts Payable process
  • Managing the employee expense reclaim process
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with internal and external audits
  • Assistance with tax filings and reporting (Corporate Tax & VAT)

What you will need:

  • At least two years’ experience in a similar Finance role within Insurance OR a role within an Accountancy practice where your client base has included Insurance firms
  • A self-motivated and organised approach to your work
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships
  • A willingness to “pitch in” and help out wherever is needed
  • Ideally a Degree in a relevant discipline, and commitment to your ACCA/ACA/CIMA studies (if still ongoing)
