Description of role:

Due to continued expansion, my client are now seeking a Human Resources Advisor to join their HR team. This role will be based in Hertfordshire.

The Role

As a Human Resources Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in aligning people strategies with organisational goals. You will deliver tailored HR solutions, foster strong relationships across teams, and help shape a culture that empowers individuals to reach their full potential. Your work will directly contribute to creating a high-performing and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and interpret HR policies, procedures, and terms of service, providing guidance where necessary.
  • Co-ordinate and participate in recruitment at all levels, including drafting adverts, CV screening, interviews, and offers of employment.
  • Manage early careers programmes, including Trainee Solicitor placements, vacation schemes, apprenticeships, work experience, and careers events.
  • Oversee the renewal of employee benefits and introduce new benefits.
  • Manage family leave in accordance with legislation, including communication and return-to-work support.
  • Co-ordinate the annual pay review and bonus process, including letters, calculations, and HR system updates.
  • Oversee the performance review process, providing advice and guidance.
  • Assist with disciplinary and grievance procedures, ensuring documentation is maintained.
  • Monitor staff attendance and absence, conducting return-to-work interviews and occupational health referrals.
  • Act as system administrator for the firm’s HRIS, ensuring records are updated, generating reports, and managing system updates.

About You

  • CIPD accredited (Level 5 or above) with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an HR Advisor role.
  • Experience in a professional services environment is advantageous.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible, with a passion for supporting people to perform at their best.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire and influence at all levels.
